Archaeologists working near Cairo have uncovered the mummified remains of a doctor. The doctor named Qar, lived under the sixth dynasty in ancient Egypt, between 2,350BC and 2180BC.

Archaeologists working near Cairo have uncovered the mummified remains of a doctor. The doctor named Qar, lived under the sixth dynasty in ancient Egypt, between 2,350BC and 2180BC.

The doctor, who was found buried with bronze surgical instruments, was found at Saqqara, 12 miles south of Cairo and home of the famous 4,000-year-old stepped pyramids.
