Taweret meaning The Great One

The pylon or gateway to the temple is perhaps one of the most memorable features of any Egyptian temple. The top of the pylon turns over, and provides a façade or gateway to the temple; it is derived from a much earlier structure. They developed from towers of woven reeds that were put around the entrance to the reed shrine enclosure.

The Cultus Temple (Divine Cult Temple) was the place where the god was worshipped, examples of Cultus Temples are: Karnak, Luxor, Edfu and Dendera.

A state based on the supremacy of the gods.

A type of necklace. This style is very rare in Egypt and only 3 examples have been found; one at Kahun, and two others in tomb contents. It is a distinctive neck ornament that was worm over a period of 500 years in sites in western Asia.

Known for it good quality limestone, which provided a ready supply of building material for the construction of the Pyramids at Giza.

Nekhbet
Goddess of Upper Egypt

In Egyptian mythology, Nekhbet was an early predynastic local goddess who was the patron of the city of Nekheb. Nekhbet often holds the shen symbol of eternity in its talons, offering eternal protection to the pharaoh. As such, Nekhbet is closely linked to rulership, she was sometimes seen to be the mother of the divine aspect of the pharaoh.
